Kimpton Ashbel New York-Park Avenue has appointed a leadership team as the hotel gears up for its opening in January 2026.

The three key appointments are Lucy Shulman as director of sales and marketing, Brenda Correa as general manager, and Tyrone Fu as director of revenue management. They will oversee the pre-opening plan, opening operations, and strategic sales going forward, including forging partnerships in the travel trade.

“Joining the opening team at Kimpton Ashbel is an exciting opportunity to shape the guest journey from the very start,” Shulman said. “I look forward to creating meaningful partnerships, driving sales initiatives, and introducing vibrant programming that celebrates the property’s distinctive design and prime Midtown location—all while delivering the warm, heartfelt hospitality that defines Kimpton.”

Shulman brings nearly two decades of hospitality industry experience and has worked at Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants for more than 16 years. She previously held roles at other New York City Kimpton properties, such as The Muse and Ink48.

Correa has more than two decades of hotel leadership experience and was most recently the general manager of Iberostar 70 Park Avenue for the past seven years. Fu has more than 15 years of experience in hospitality revenue management.

Kimpton Ashbel New York-Park Avenue will be the latest addition to IHG Hotels & Resorts’ lifestyle and luxury portfolio and the third Kimpton hotel in New York City. The property promises to bring townhouse-inspired elegance and curated offerings to the reimagined Beaux-Arts landmark at to 70 Park Ave. in Midtown Manhattan
