Luxury hotelier Mandarin Oriental has announced the opening date for its debut hotel in Austria.
Mandarin Oriental, Vienna will open its doors on Oct. 20, 2025. The property offers 86 rooms and 52 suites, all elegantly designed with the timeless charm of Viennese Art Nouveau. These include three exclusive Mandarin Signature Suites and a grand Royal Suite.
The property is located in the First District on Riemergasse in a heritage building that formerly served as a courthouse. Built in 1908 and designed by Austrian architect Alfred Keller, the Art Nouveau building has been lovingly restored to blend its historic charm with contemporary comforts and sophistication.
Mandarin Oriental, Vienna has four culinary destinations, overseen by Executive Chef Thomas Seifried, all under the Atelier 7 banner: the hotel’s signature fine dining restaurant Le Sept; the all-day dining Atelier 7 – Brasserie; the Viennese coffeehouse Atelier 7 – The Café; and the Japanese fusion lounge Atelier 7 – Izakaya and Bar.
The Spa at Mandarin Oriental provides a variety of holistic treatments, including the company’s signature wellness therapies and services influenced by local traditions. The facility includes seven treatment rooms—one designed for couples—along with an indoor pool, fitness centre, and a designated VIP treatment area.
In terms of event space, Mandarin Oriental, Vienna has seven multifunctional boardrooms and an elegant 140-square-meter ballroom (approximately 1,500 square-feet).
“Our aim is to create a place that is both a retreat for international travellers and a meeting place for locals with an appreciation of the extraordinary,” said Mario Habicher, General Manager, Mandarin Oriental, Vienna. “The historic Art Nouveau building in Riemergasse provides the ideal setting for this.”
