Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai, has just opened, marking Mandarin Oriental’s second property in the city.
The hotel is housed within Wasl Tower, a distinct fixture of the Dubai skyline on Sheikh Zayed Road, recognizable for its twisting sculptural facade and the tallest ceramic facade in the region. Mandarin Oriental has now added a rooftop helipad for discreet VIP guest arrivals.
Each of the hotel’s 259 guestrooms and suites have either Arabian Gulf or Dubai skyline views. Once fully opened, the hotel will offer a total of 10 dining venues and 224 private branded residences, which will debut in 2026.

Currently, dining options include Yù & Mì, a modern Chinese bar and restaurant; Chitarra, an Italian restaurant; and Noia by the Pool, a relaxed Mediterranean venue part of the 11th floor rooftop terrace. More food and beverage will debut soon, including a full Greek restaurant on the rooftop, a street-level eatery featuring a Mandarin Oriental Cake Shop, and other international options.
Another key feature of the new hotel is its Wellness at Mandarin Oriental Downtown, which spans two floors and has nine treatment rooms, two couple’s suites, and a VIP suite with a hammam, as well as a full fitness center, vitality pools, tepidarium loungers, showers, saunas and steam rooms.
The choices of pools extend outdoors, where there is a landscaped pool terrace with a lap pool, leisure pool, and dedicated kids’ pool. The hotel also has a dedicated Kids Club, a grand ballroom, and meeting rooms.
