Hotel La Compañía del Valle, part of Hyatt’s Unbound Collection, just launched its first-phase opening, with 40 guestrooms and suites now available and 30 more set to debut in May.

The luxury hotel is in Panama’s Valle de Antón, about 50 miles west of Panama City. There is an outdoor sculpture part on the property, which is being billed as an art and wellness house and countryside retreat.

“The addition of Hotel La Compañía del Valle to The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, marks a significant milestone in our brand’s expansion of luxury offerings in Panama,” said Fidel Reyes, managing director of La Compañía Hotels & Resorts. “As the first of its kind art and wellness-focused hotel in Panama and beyond, Hotel La Compañía del Valle sets a new standard for transformative hospitality, offering guests unparalleled experiences in the mountainside.”

Currently, Tiempo is the sole dining option at the hotel, serving international bites for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In March, Fuego will begin offering upscale, charcoal grilled cuisine. And in May, Terra will be the first vegetarian and Mediterranean restaurant in El Valle.

The hotel’s 18,000 square-foot Elysium Spa will open in the second phase of the hotel’s opening and feature natural healing treatments and experiences such as chocolate and wine therapy, a saltwater pool, and Roman baths.

Hotel La Compañía del Valle is the second hotel in the La Compañía Hotels & Resorts portfolio, which also includes Hotel La Compañía Casco Antiguo in Panama.
