JW Marriott Berlin, the second JW Marriott property in Germany, is now open.

The hotel sits in what used to be Hotel Berlin Central District on the central Stauffenbergstraße Street, adding 505 rooms adjacent to Tiergarten, one of the largest urban gardens in the country.

JW Marriott sought to bring that garden aesthetic into the design of the new property, with inspiration from Tiergarten found throughout the hotel including a dark green and warm brown color scheme and a focus on artwork that includes nature.

The hotel includes eight dining destinations, all led by Chef Friedemann Heinrich. Each one sources local ingredients. Some highlights of the offerings are the debut of the JW Steakhouse, The Berlin Baking Company, the Cigar Lounge, and Bar 26 in the hotel’s own hanging garden.

There’s also the Market Restaurant, which beckons back to that focus on nature, allowing guests to pluck their own herbs for breakfast from the JW Garden or take away seeds to continue growing produce at home.

“JW Marriott blends a legacy of extraordinary hospitality with a modern commitment to mindfulness and well-being that is so important to today’s luxury traveler,” said Bruce Rohr, Global Brand Leader, JW Marriott.

“JW Marriott Hotel Berlin brings these pillars to life – from its JW Garden where guests can harvest their own herbs, to its not one, but two fitness centers and rejuvenating spa – to offer a holistic, wellness-forward stay.”

The hotel also includes 48 event spaces, including the largest ballroom in Berlin, which can seat over 2,300 guests.
