Marriott’s newest China hotel, the JW Marriott Hotel Xi’an, opened its doors this week.

The hotel is located in the city’s central business district, close to some of Xi’an’s more popular sites and attractions including the Daming Palace National Heritage Park and the Ancient City Wall. It is also a thirty-minute drive away from both Xi’an North Railway Station and Xi’an Xianyang International Airport.

It features 333 guest rooms, including 13 suites, all located between the 25th and 37th floors of the hotel, and all with floor-to-ceiling windows. Some of the rooms, and the hotel lobby on the 38th floor, overlook the Qin Ling mountains, known as the “dragon’s vein of China.”

JW Marriott Xi’an also includes two restaurants—the Jin Wei Court Chinese Restaurant which offers Cantonese cuisine and the JW Kitchen, an a la carte and buffet dining experience with some live dining stations—and the Lobby Lounge, which serves handcrafted cocktails and some custom-themed afternoon teas from the 38th floor.

The hotel also includes a signature JW Garden, which gives guests some space to relax outside and supplies some freshly sourced ingredients for the hotel’s dining venues. There’s also a Spa by JW location, a 24-hour fitness center, and an indoor infinity heated swimming pool.

For meetings, the JW Marriot Hotel X’ian includes over 37,000 sq. ft. of meeting space, including two separate ballrooms.

“We are thrilled to debut JW Marriott Hotel Xi’an and expand the JW brand portfolio into a destination where history and culture combine with a forward-looking modernity,” said Bruce Rohr, Vice President and Global Brand Leader, JW Marriott.

“True to its brand DNA, JW Marriott Hotel Xi’an bears the legacy of our founder J. Willard Marriott and creates a tranquil, luxury space that offers many paths to well-being, where guests can nourish their souls while they explore one of China’s great ancient capitals.”

The opening continues Marriott’s international expansion of its JW brand which includes new properties in Goa, Madrid, Berlin, and more.
