Marriott just opened its first luxury property in St. Maarten: JW Marriott St. Maarten Beach Resort & Spa.

The 200-room hotel blends luxury and wellness, as well as modern design with coastal, Caribbean flair. It includes a rooftop pool, culinary school, a library, events spaces, four dining options, a fitness room and spa, and more.

“JW Marriott offers guests a legacy of luxury hospitality matched with principles of mindfulness that are integral to today’s traveler,” said Todd Reichelt, general manager of JW Marriott St. Maarten Beach Resort & Spa. “Situated on the world-famous Dawn Beach, our resort stands as a serene enclave and island getaway in this historically rich destination. We look forward to welcoming and providing our guests with a truly memorable and holistic well-being experience.”

Guests to JW Marriott St. Maarten Beach Resort & Spa will arrive to a two-story, stone clad tower topped with an ornate steel dome. Inside is a grand lobby with a library, lounge, and JW Bar. The property also has a courtyard garden, a JW Market, and Hibiscus Spa with 16 treatment options.

Each room and suite has a stunning ocean view with St. Barths in the distance. The hotel also offers 30,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and events space, including the Soualiga Ballroom.

The hotel is on Dawn Beach, about a 30-minute drive from Princess Juliana Airport.
