Kimpton Mirador Pacific Grove, a boutique hotel part of IHG Hotels & Resorts’ luxury and lifestyle Kimpton brand, has just opened on California’s Monterey Peninsula.

The new hotel blends Spanish Revival design with laid-back luxury to create a sense of calm and culture within the 99-key property’s guestrooms, suites, public spaces, and wellness facilities.

“Mirador Pacific Grove captures the region’s unique blend of coastal charm, artistic spirit, and laid-back sophistication,” said Vicki Poulos, vice president of Luxury & Lifestyle Brands at IHG Hotels & Resorts. “This property is a true reflection of Kimpton’s commitment to thoughtful design, genuine local connections, and heartfelt hospitality, offering guests an immersive experience that celebrates both the vibrant community and the breathtaking surroundings.”

Cozy coastal vibes abound at this hotel, which is located about a half mile from the Pacific Ocean, among historic homes and walkable streets that lead to nearby iconic landmarks such as Monarch Grove Sanctuary and Point Pinos Lighthouse. Many guestrooms have private balconies, and some suites feature fireplaces. Highlights of the property include a firelit courtyard and curated artwork by regional artists adorning the walls.

Kimpton Mirador Pacific Grove’s opening also marks the debut of The Caledonian, a modern American restaurant with a menu using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, a Spanish Revival-style, and a comfortable atmosphere with its fireplace lounge, semi-open kitchen, and outdoor patios.

In line with the Kimpton brand, the hotel offers daily Kimpton Kickstart coffee hour and Kimpton Social cocktail hour. Guests have access to in-room yoga mats and wellness kits, pet-friendly accommodations, and complimentary bikes for exploring the town and coastline.

The hotel features a fitness studio, meeting and events spaces, and daily wellness programming in partnership with Monterey Bay Moves, such as yoga, sound baths, and fitness sessions.
