Princess Grand Jamaica, one of the Caribbean island’s top family-friendly resorts, will reopen this coming Sunday, March 1, following a temporary closure due to Hurricane Melissa in October.
The resort’s return follows the Feb. 1 reopening of its neighboring adult-only counterpart, Princess Senses The Mangrove, and “completes our full resort experience once again,” said Marc Pelfort, regional director of sales and marketing for Princess Hotels & Resorts Jamaica.
“Families can embrace the vibrant, activity-driven energy of Princess Grand Jamaica, while adults seeking elevated serenity can retreat to Princess Senses The Mangrove, all within one connected destination,” Pelfort said. “This dual-resort concept has always been central to our identity, and we’re proud to once again offer travelers the flexibility, scale and variety that make extended stays and multigenerational travel so seamless in Jamaica.”
The Princess resorts are among several Jamaica properties to announce their reopening in the past few months following their recovery from Hurricane Melissa; for example, Eclipse at Half Moon in Montego Bay will reopen April 2. The Jamaica Tourist Board is keeping a list of property reopenings on its website.
