RIU Hotels ended 2025 by reopening one of its Riviera Nayarit resorts, Riu Jalisco, after extensive renovations.
Riu Jalisco now has expanded areas for families with children, more guest rooms, and new dining concepts. Notably, the resort constructed 120 additional rooms in a new building, bringing the total number of rooms to 820, and now offers a new room category that fits up to six guests in a single room.
More accommodation space for families means more kid-friendly public areas throughout the resort, as well. There are now six swimming pools, two of which are designed for children with games and slides, along the seafront. RiuLand has also been renovated with a new splash pad play area.
The hotel’s expansion also includes a new sports bar and two new restaurant concepts: the American Country restaurant and Candy ice cream parlor. These complement the resort’s total of eight bars, a buffet restaurant, and four specialty restaurants.
