ALG Vacations Moving to a New FAM Structure for 2024

ALG Vacations is changing the way it offers FAMs to travel advisors this year.

Instead of 20 escorted FAMs, which is had offered in previous years, ALG Vacations will offer two “mega-FAMs” in 2024, concentrating the same number of advisors that it would have on those escorted FAMs into two larger opportunities.

Each FAM, which is called “ALGV Pros on the Go,” will offer 150 advisors multiple resort stays and a tour of one of eight different hotel itineraries. Each trip includes excursions, a giveback opportunity, and a one-day training session with workshops from the ALG Vacations team and third-party seminars.

The two 2024 ALGV Pros on the Go mega-FAMs will take place in Cancun (April 9-13) and Punta Cana (June 19-23). Invitees will be selected by ALGV Business Development Managers and will include advisors from all U.S. sales regions, along with host agencies. All travel advisor participants are required to complete ALGVPro certification prior to travel.

“ALGV FAMs are incredibly popular and tend to fill up quickly,” said Jacqueline Marks, ALGV’s Global Head of Trade Brands. “We wanted to streamline the process for our sales and events teams and leverage the larger education and networking opportunity with advisors and the ALGV staff, incorporating the highest value components of our Ascend conference on a smaller scale. We think ALGV Pros on the Go will be another extremely popular in-destination event for the travel advisor community.”
