Apple Leisure Group Vacations (ALG Vacations) on Wednesday celebrated Travel Advisor Appreciation Day with a billboard promoting travel advisors in New York’s Times Square.

The billboard ran all day on May 1 on 45th Street between 7th and 8th Avenue in Manhattan. It featured Kressley on a beach, with messaging about why consumers should use a travel advisor, and then a screen directing them to Travel Advisors Get You There, ALGV’s consumer-facing website promoting advisors.

Speaking on Wednesday during a lunch in New York to celebrate Travel Advisor Appreciation Day, Kressley said that the partnership with ALGV, which has spanned four years, has been a “natural fit,” for both his love of travel and his reverence for advisors.

“Travel is the most inspiring thing you can do,” he said. “I love advocating for people to travel…I get to be the evangelist for travel advisors. Why would you not leave it to a professional?”
