Delta Air Lines is adding 37 new flights starting this fall for pro football fans traveling to games.
The new flights will begin in September and run through Christmas Day. Most of these additions will be operated by Delta Connection, with some Delta mainline flights as well. All include Delta First, Delta Comfort, and Delta Main cabins.
The longest of the new flights is a direct route between Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport (ATL) and Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER), connecting fans to the Nov. 9 game between the Indianapolis Colts and the Atlanta Falcons at the Olympiastadion in Berlin. This will mark the first time Atlanta and Berlin are connected by a direct flight.
Along with these new routes, which target underserved destinations, Delta is also expanding service on 12 routes with larger aircraft to boost capacity for traveling fans.
“From kickoff to the final down, we’re making it easier than ever to get in on the action – with new, nonstop routes and extra capacity for key games in cities like Berlin, Detroit, Kansas City, Philadelphia and more,” said Amy Martin, Vice President of North America Network Planning. “We know our customers love their teams, so we have timed these flights to make it faster and easier to get them to the games that matter most.”
