Delta Air Lines Is Letting SkyMiles Members Choose Its Next European Destination

Delta Air Lines is letting its guests and employees choose their next destination in a promotion it is calling “Route Race.”
The choice comes down to three European cities—Malta, Ibiza, and Sardinia. Voting will open in the Delta app on August 25 and will run through August 29.
The plan is to announce the new destination approximately 30 days after the voting ends and add the winning city to Delta’s route map next summer.
“SkyMiles Members and Delta people are at the center of everything Delta does. The Route Race is a celebration of their influence, giving our community a voice in where they want to fly next and inviting them to help shape Delta’s global network,” said Paul Baldoni, Senior Vice President of Network Planning.
Delta operated its largest ever European schedule this summer, including service to Catania, Italy, the first time it has flown into Sicily. One of Malta, Ibiza, and Sardinia will join that roster next summer.
