Delta Air Lines to Launch New Service Between Detroit and Punta Cana
As 2025 kicks off, Delta Air Lines is expanding its schedule for later this year with a number of new routes out of some of its biggest U.S. hubs—Atlanta Hartsfield (ATL), Detroit Metro (DTW), and Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP).
Starting on June 8, Delta is adding two new season flights from Atlanta—one to Bangor (BGR) Airport in Maine, and another to Rapid City (RAP) in South Dakota. Both those flights will run nonstop on Saturdays through Sept. 7. Both of those flights will operate on a Boeing 737-800.
From Detroit, Delta is adding a few nonstops to some summer destinations. In May, it will run nonstops on Saturdays to Punta Cana (PUJ) through Aug. 2. Then, in June, it will start three new Saturday nonstops to Bozeman (BZN), Pensacola (PNS), and Destin-Fort Walton (VPS). All those will run through Sept. 7. The Punta Cana flight will operate on a Boeing 737-900; the Pensacola and Bozeman flights will operate on a Boeing 717; and the Destin-Fort Walton flight will operate on a Airbus A319.
From Minneapolis (MSP), Delta is adding one new nonstop to Jackson Hole (JAC) starting on June 8. That will also operate on Saturdays only through Sept. 7. Delta will fly that service on an Airbus A319.
