Flair Airlines has announced its first nonstop service from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to Guanajuato International Airport (BJX) in Mexico, starting October 3.
The route provides direct access to the Bajío region known for its rich cultural heritage and further expands its international network and strengthens connectivity between Canada and Mexico.

“Welcoming BJX into our network marks the first-ever direct connection between the Bajío region and Canada,” said Len Corrado, CEO of Flair Airlines. “We’re making it easier for customers to discover this vibrant region with travel that is reliable, easy, and affordable, and built for memorable moments.”
The airline currently flies direct into Mexico City from Toronto and Vancouver and the new service follows the announcement just last week of daily nonstop service between Vancouver International Airport (YVR) and Montréal–Trudeau International Airport (YUL).
Flair’s been active in the industry as of late; the airline recently had its application to operate scheduled international flights to Cuba approved by the Canadian Transportation Agency. (The airline has not announced a start date for those services, and is likely waiting for Cuba’s economic situation to improve before finalizing any plans). Flair also recently announced a number of appointments; Treena Squire is now VP In-flight Services and named former Sunwing Airlines CEO Len Corrado as CEO of the airline.
