Club Med to Build New Mountain Resort in Tremblant, Quebec

Club Med is bringing a new mountain resort to Tremblant, Quebec, a year-round tourist town less than two hours from Montreal’s international airport.

Earlier this summer, it was revealed that Club Med was in talks with developers and stakeholders to build a resort at Station Mont-Tremblant, a popular ski destination. Club Med CEO Gregory Lanter has now confirmed, writing on LinkedIn that he visited the site and made “another decisive step toward making it happen.”

“For Club Med, Mont-Tremblant is the perfect addition to our portfolio before entering the U.S. ski market – the largest in the world,” Lanter said. “For Mont-Tremblant, Club Med will be a booster for the local economy, bringing a new international clientele and creating around 300 jobs.”

The project is now being financed and is slated to begin construction sometime in 2026, with an expected opening in December 2028. It will bring about 300 hotel rooms to the Versant Soleil side of Tremblant, a mountainous tourist destination for skiing, music festivals, and more for families and couples.

Club Med currently has one other Quebec resort, Club Med Québec Charlevoix, which became Canada’s first all-inclusive resort in 2021.
