Hard Rock International (HRI) has officially opened Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa, the brand’s first fully integrated Hard Rock resort in Canada.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa arrives on the heels of Hard Rock Hotel London, Ontario, Canada’s first Hard Rock Hotel, which first welcomed visitors in April 2025.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa was developed for the iconic Rideau Carleton Raceway site, which debuted in 1962 as Canada’s first-ever five-eighths mile harness racing oval. The resort blends the local history with Hard Rock’s unique blend of entertainment and excitement.

The Grand Opening was attended by Hard Rock International executives, including Chief Operating Officer Jeff Hook and Executive Operations Advisor Jon Lucas, as well as community leaders and dignitaries. The celebration was marked by music performances, speeches, and the brand’s signature Guitar Smash—Hard Rock’s take on a traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony (pictured).

“Bringing Hard Rock to Canada’s capital is an iconic milestone for our brand,” said Jim Allen, CEO of Hard Rock International. “We’re proud to expand our global footprint and create a destination where locals and visitors can experience world-class gaming, hospitality, and entertainment all in one place.”

The 150-room music-inspired hotel includes 22 luxury suites. Guests can choose from six dining venues, including a Hard Rock Cafe and Council Oak Steaks & Seafood. The 150,000 square-foot resort also features shopping, a state-of-the-art performance venue with capacity for up to 1,900 guests, and a casino with approximately 1,500 slot machines and 40 live-action table games.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa is operated by Hard Rock International and governed by Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG).
