Kempinski has appointed Edward Hobson as its new senior vice president of global sales and Giuseppe Paturzo as its new global sales director, leisure.

Both new hires will play essential roles in leading sales strategy for the legacy luxury hotel brand by strengthening travel trade partnerships and expanding marketing opportunities.

Hobson brings more than 25 years of hospitality experience, most recently as vice president of sales and marketing (international excluding China) at Langham Hotels & Resorts, where he oversaw sales performance for 32 hotels in four global sales territories. In his new role, he’ll work closely with regional sales teams and individual hotels to drive growth.

“I am delighted to be joining Kempinski at this pivotal moment in the brand’s storied history,” Hobson said. “Kempinski is a brand whose heritage, individuality and strong sense of place have long set it apart in the luxury hospitality landscape. We must look to the past to inform the future, and I am extremely excited to contribute to the future direction.”

Paturzo also brings a wealth of experience, previously holding leadership roles at Leading Hotels of the World, Rocco Forte Hotels, and Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts. In his new position, he aims to build on his reputation for fostering strong travel advisor and stakeholder relationships.

“Joining Kempinski is both a professional honor and a personal milestone. To now have the opportunity to contribute to such an iconic company is both humbling and exciting. Few brands in the hospitality industry can match the heritage, prestige, and global reputation that Kempinski has cultivated over more than 125 years,” Paturzo said.

“I am particularly excited to be joining the company at a time of significant momentum and opportunity, as it continues to evolve while remaining true to the values that have defined its success,” he added. “It is also a true honor to join a commercial team led by such a respected leader like Edward Hobson. I look forward to contributing to this next phase of growth, building on the strength of the brand, and working with colleagues and partners across the world to further elevate Kempinski’s position as a leader in luxury hospitality.”
