As Limelight Hotels expands across the United States, the brand introduces its newest hotel: Limelight Mammoth in Eastern Sierra, California.
The opening marks Limelight Hotels’ debut in the state and brings a new year-round mountain destination to the Mammoth Lakes community. The property features 149 guestrooms, including 25 suites and 15 private residences, and a members-only ski and social club.
Evan Thomas, general manager of Limelight Mammoth, called the new hotel’s launch “an exciting milestone for the Limelight brand as we continue to expand into the best locations within special destinations, bringing our signature warmth, sophistication, and community-driven spirit to the Sierra Nevada.”
“This incredible property is designed for travelers who seek adventure and meaningful connection,” he said. “We’re excited to welcome guests, members and locals to a space where inspired design, sustainability, and the natural beauty of Mammoth Lakes come together effortlessly.”

Limelight Mammoth opens just as the 2025-26 snow season kicks off and provides guests with easy access to winter skiing and snowboarding. In the warmer months, there is hiking, mountain biking, and scenic gondola rides. The property is also steps away from The Village at Mammoth, the local shopping and dining district.
The resort’s Mammoth Lakes Mountain Club, modeled after Limelight’s clubs in Snowmass and Aspen, offers a private lounge, outdoor terrace with firepits, all-day bar, semi-private workspaces, ski valet, personal lockers, gondola access, fitness center and pool privileges, dedicated parking, and a year-round calendar of events and experiences.
The Limelight Lounge is a central, community living room that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a view. It will also become a hub for live music programming, including an upcoming grand opening celebration concert on Dec. 12.
Limelight Mammoth adds to a growing portfolio of the parent company Aspen One’s Limelight-branded hotels, with others in Snowmass, Aspen, Ketchum, Denver, and Boulder, as well as another opening in Charleston in 2028.
