Outbound Sedona, a desert retreat in the Red Rocks of Arizona, is now open.
The new property joins a growing portfolio that includes Outbound Hotels in Jackson Hole, WY; Mammoth Lakes, CA; and Stowe, VT, as well as new hotels coming soon in Yosemite, CA and Park City, UT.
“Outbound Sedona marks an exciting new chapter for the brand, bringing our approach to design, programming, and community into the heart of one of the country’s most striking landscapes,” said Matthew Mering, president of Outbound Hotels – A Waterton Hospitality Company. “With this property, we wanted to create a place that feels rooted in Sedona itself, where guests and locals can come together, slow down, and experience the red rocks in an authentic way.”
The 138-room resort offers design- and wellness-first hospitality and is located minutes from Uptown Sedona. Accommodations range from king bed and bunkbed rooms to the spacious Serenity Suites, some with patios, fireplaces, and kitchenettes.
The property is anchored by Moonwater, a two-tiered pool deck that includes hot tubs, fire pits, and sweeping views of Bell Rock. The space offers poolside lounging during the day and stargazing at night, as well as “Moonwater Sessions” live music on select evenings.
Outbound Sedona also marks the brand’s very-first spa with the debut of The Spa at Outbound Sedona on June 5.
For dining, the hotel will soon open signature restaurant Lucida, serving locally sourced Southwestern cuisine in an indoor-outdoor setting. For activities, the on-site Gear Garage provides bikes, trail-ready essentials, and local route recommendations. There are also four hard courts for tennis and pickleball, plus a stop right at the property for Verde Shuttle, a complimentary hop-on, hop-off service.
