Nobu Hospitality is continuing its global growth and now has plans to debut in the Maldives. In partnership with investment company Sarat International, Nobu Hotel, Residences, and Restaurant Maldives is in the works, though an opening timeline was not announced.
The new resort will bring 26 one- and two-bedroom beach villas and 30 one- and two-bedroom overwater villas to this covered luxury destination along the pristine Indian Ocean shores. It will also feature 10 exclusive private island residences, a signature Nobu restaurant, and wellness facilities.
“The Maldives is a highly sought-after tourist destination that has long been on our radar for a unique resort concept. Before we embarked on this journey, we envisioned something truly special,” said Trevor Horwell, CEO of Nobu Hospitality. “As part of the new generation of Maldives hotels, we aim to set a new standard of rarity. Our priority is to create a superior island experience rather than follow a formulaic approach – one where design, world-class dining, and the natural environment harmoniously coexist.”
Nobu Hotel, Residences, and Restaurant Maldives will have a main swimming pool, full-service spa, state-of-the-art gym, a diving center, tennis courts, and event space. Its Nobu restaurant, serving Chef Nobu’s beloved Japanese-Peruvian cuisine, will be set on its own private island complete with a bar and lounge.
