Rimrock Banff, Emblems Collection has officially opened, marking the debut of Accor’s Emblems Collection in North America.
Located in Banff National Park, Rimrock Banff is a new iteration of a landmark property in the mountainside, and now offers a luxurious gateway to the Canadian Rockies after an extensive renovation.
“Rimrock Banff is a wonderful expression of the Emblems philosophy: an established property with a character of its own, deeply connected to its destination and reimagined through thoughtful design and highly personal service,” said Maud Bailly, CEO of Emblems Collection. “Its remarkable setting in Banff National Park and longstanding relationship with the Canadian Rockies make it a natural first North American address for the Collection. This opening marks an important milestone in our international development and brings our art of living to a new continent.”
Accor first launched the curated luxury hotel collection in 2021, and has since opened several properties under the brand, mainly in Europe. Earlier this year, the company appointed David Marques as Rimrock Banff’s director of sales and marketing ahead of the hotel’s opening.

The property features 320 guestrooms, including 57 suites, designed to offer sweeping views of the surrounding scenery. Standout accommodations include the Wellness Studio Suites and the Infinity Two-Bedroom Suite, which opens onto a wraparound terrace with a barrel sauna, fire table, and panoramic views across Banff National Park.
“This resort, across the decades of its history, has always been defined by its remarkable setting,” said David Garcelon, general manager of Rimrock Banff. “This transformation was guided by a simple philosophy: create a resort that feels inseparable from the landscape itself. Every design decision, every experience and every space was thoughtfully conceived to deepen guests’ connection to Banff National Park and create a luxury offering that could only exist in Banff.”
Rimrock Banff offers four dining venues, a fitness center, and a 9,600-square-foot Bathhouse with mountain-facing hydrothermal environments and a meditation room.
For cultural immersion, the hotel’s culinary program makes use of a locally grown Emblematic Ingredient, Alpine Honey, and there is a Master Pathfinder who leads itineraries through Banff National Park.
