Butterfield & Robinson Unveils 2027 Small Group Tours Collection

Toronto-based luxury tour operator Butterfield & Robinson has announced a new lineup of small group journeys for 2027.
Founded in 1966, Butterfield & Robinson is known for its high-end small-group and custom guided land tours, which often include active elements such as biking, walking, hiking, and more. The tour operator also offers a bespoke, Multi-Gen Legacy collection. which it introduced in November 2025 in response to market demand for multi-generation travel.
The new small group journeys offer a mix of active immersive experiences and cultural exploration, all with the added convenience of inclusive pricing. The group sizes are kept small, averaging 10 to 12 guests with a maximum of 16 to 18 guests per departure. Each thoughtfully curated itinerary features expert guides, customizable activities, upscale accommodations, and exclusive experiences travelers would otherwise not have access to, such as private meals and after-hours visits.
The 2027 small group journeys collection spans a mix of popular destinations and hidden gems across Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Sample itineraries include:
Belgium by Bike & Beyond: a 10-day cycling journey from Flanders to the Ardennes that invites travelers to immerse themselves in Belgium’s rich cultural and military history. Guests will explore by bike, yacht, on foot, and even WWII jeeps, with experiences such as a private yacht sailing into Ghent, wine tasting in Le Sanglier, and a private after-hours viewing of the Adoration of the Mystic Lamb in St Bavo’s Cathedral.
Oaxaca Multi-Active: a six-day active adventure that shows travelers a “different side of Mexico.” While exploring Oaxaca, guests will cycle through Mescal country, hike the mountain trails in Sierra Norte, and visit the ancient Zapotec ruins alongside an expert guide. Throughout the journey, guests will visit the region’s vibrant markets, attend family-run workshops, and enjoy the extraordinary local food scene.
Northern Scotland Hiking: a six-day hiking journey from Inverness to Torridon that immerses travelers in the rich history and lush landscapes of the Highlands. Described by Butterfield & Robinson as “one of Britain’s last truly wild landscapes,” the itinerary includes opportunities to see wildlife, rugged terrain, and fairytale castles.
Cotswolds & Somerset Hiking: a six-day hiking tour beginning in Oxford that takes travelers through some of Southern England’s most iconic countryside landscapes. Moving between villages on ancient footpaths, guests explore destinations including Bibury, Tetbury, Bath, Stanton Drew, and Bruton, with the itinerary highlighting the region’s history, architecture, and lesser-known cultural experiences along the way.
