Club Med to Enter Gulf States with Beach Resort
by Briana Bonfiglio /Club Med has announced a project to build its first resort in the Gulf States, Club Med Musandam, on the beach of the Persian Gulf in Oman.
The $100 million-plus project has strong support from the Sultanate of Oman, with government and tourism officials and project developers joining Club Med for an event celebrating the partnership on the new property on May 2.
“The history and success of Club Med lies on its pioneer approach, strongly contributing to the development of regions and areas where it has been implementing,” said Henri Giscard d’Estaing, president of Club Med. “The project of Club Med Musandam is a key milestone as it is our first presence in the Gulf States.”
Club Med Musandam is slated to begin construction in 2026 and open in 2028. The resort will have 300 rooms and be part of Club Med’s luxurious Exclusive Collection. It plans to offer guests an intimate wellness and relaxation experience on the beach, surrounded by nature and Oman culture, with a spa, fitness center, a yoga school and adult-only Zen pool and bar.
For more active adventure seekers, Club Med Musandam will have many activities available, including tennis, paddle tennis, beach tennis, archery, scuba diving, snorkeling, sailing, kayaking, and paddling over the water.
The resort will also have a kids and teens club, shopping, daily and nightly live music and entertainment, restaurants, bars, and a wine corner.
